DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION

JH has worked with innumerate beauty companies ranging from Estee Lauder, L’Oreal, PUIG, Shiseido on internal ERGs, DEI guidelines, matching niche creatives with internal projects, etc. We have also worked with tech companies ranging from Google, Meta, Dell, Revieve, and many Non Profit organisations on LGBT+ specific projects.

BACKGROUND

Growing up in a chemical grey area, I have experienced life as a trans person for two decades. I wear that label with a sense of cultural and historical pride, but I have met many hurdles in my career which have shaped my strategies when working in various environments. Often times, there’s been a place for one individual that is different, but I am not a rarity, a token or a tick box. I am at the top of my field and I deserve to be paid, respected and recognised for that.

I have worked with numerous organisations and businesses on HR and DEI guidelines, ranging from AI, to tech, to beauty, to food and lifestyle, to travel - discussing how to embrace and navigate the openly diverse world of 2024. This includes raising over six figures for non profit, working within corporate spaces, and hosting events. I have been featured in multiple publications from Vogue to Forbes, and presented ateliers which have changed the way in which brands view, employ and support LGBT people. I have hosted events in LA, New York, Dallas, Paris, Barcelona, and London, with many digital events. In 2024 the British Beauty Council launched an inclusivity survey and I was involved as part of the DEI committee which seeks to bring change, and I have contributed the idea of creating a database that would list people not often recognised in my industry for the skills they bring to the table.
